This Jailbreak Tweak Brings iOS 13 Volume HUD to Jailbroken iOS 12 iPhones

With iOS 13, Apple finally introduced a redesigned volume HUD which is something that iPhone and iPad users have been asking for a long time. Now, a jailbreak tweak by the name of Rishima from developer iKilledAppl3 brings the iOS 13 volume HUD to all jailbroken iOS 11 and iOS 12 devices.

While the developer has used some of the code from the iOS 13 volume indicator, there is one catch with this volume HUD.

The Volume HUD in iOS 13 shrinks in size when changing the volume. However, this same behavior is not replicated in this jailbreak tweak.

The tweak also lacks gesture support which allows one to adjust the volume using a simple swipe up/down on the screen when the volume HUD is shown. As the tweak is still in beta, it has a few issues. Thankfully, the developer is still working on the tweak and plans to further improve it. Below are some of the changes that the developer plans to add to the tweak:

The ringer hud!

The animations need some work!

A pan gesture needs to be added!

I need to figure out how to make the view shrink and expand on demand!

There are quite a few jailbreak tweaks that revamp the iOS Volume HUD. This includes VideoHUD, UltraSound, Melior, FlashyHUD, and more.

The Rishima jailbreak tweak is available for as a free download in the Packix repo.
