5 Features that are no longer available in iOS 11

Last week, Apple officially announced iOS 11, the next version of its mobile operating system. Basically, iOS 11 is a classic refinement software update, rather than a significant change to the operating system. Like any other iOS release, iOS 11 introduces a lot of new things, but also removes some features found in previous versions
To help you get the most out of Apple’s new version of mobile operating system, we have compiled a list of five features that have been removed from iOS 11. Before we proceed, keep in mind that Apple’s new version of iOS is now available as a developer beta, so you may experience bugs and glitches. We recommend you create a full backup of your phone before moving ahead.
  1. No 32-bit apps in iOS 11

Apple has been in a long fight against 32-bit apps. Back in 2013, the Cupertino Company asked developers to begin submitting 64-bit apps to take advantage of the power of its iPhone 5 models.

In iOS 11, Apple has finally put an end to 32-bit apps. From now on, when you download an older app from the App Store, you will get an error message letting you know that the app will not be supported by newer iOS versions. To check if your favorite apps are 32-bit or not, you can head to Settings, then select General and hit App Compatibility.
  1. No iCloud Drive app

With iOS 11, Apple has removed iCloud Drive app, instead introducing a new Files app, which offers quick access to all of the content stored locally on your iPhone and iPad, and content stored in third-party cloud services like Dropbox, One Drive, and Google Drive. Besides, developers also can add Files integration into their apps, making it much easier for users to move their documents, videos and photos to other apps.
  1. No Control Center gesture

iOS 11 brings a number of improvements to the iPad, which was completely ignored in the previous version. Now, swiping up from the bottom of the home screen will fire up the new Dock, a persistent bar at the bottom of the display provides quick access to your favorite apps, a redesigned App Switcher and Control Center, all in a single screen.
  1. No Now Playing panel in Control Center

In iOS 11, Apple has removed the mess of iOS 10 Control Center in favor of a much simpler and traditional page stocked with the toggles and switches. The Now Playing panel has been integrated into the single page, which can be accessed by swiping up from the bottom of the home screen. The best thing when it comes to iOS 11 Control Center is that it is customizable, meaning that you can choose what you want or don’t want to include in Control Center.
